Luke Skywalker’s Uncle Owen is shopping for some new droids at the Jawa Sandcrawler. There are plenty to choose form, including R2-D2 and C-3PO. But the Jawas drive a hard bargain, and danger is never far away.
Re-create the classic scene from Star Wars Episode IV with this incredibly detailed model. Remove the center section of the Sandcrawler to reveal the Jawa workshop. Use the crane to load droids into the Sandcrawler, and open the hatch to reveal the inside. Cockpit opens to load a driver. Steering mechanism lets you guide the Jawa vehicle to its next adventure. Measures 15″L x 7.5″W x 9″H when built. 1,669 LEGO pieces in all.
The Sandcrawler never looked that fun to me but my kids got it for Christmas. It is actually a lot better to play with than it looked. The inside is wider than it seemed and the model comes with a lot of tank tread pieces. Two of the tracks swivel to steer.
